Chinese Rice Recipes - Plain Steamed Rice Recipe

Ingredients

  • 2 heaped tablespoons long-grained rice

    6 tablespoons water


Method:

  1. Wash the rice very well. Turn it into a basin with the water. Together they should reach no more than a quarter way up the basin.

  2. Place in the steamer and steam for 40 minutes.

Note: There is neither salt nor stock in this rice. The way of serving it is to place each portion in a bowl and take it to table to accompany fish, meat or poultry, each in mouth-sized pieces and already in its own sauce.
