Shrimp Stir-Fried With Ginger
Ingredients
2 tbsp vegetable oil
3 garlic cloves, crushed
2 spring onions, chopped
1 leek, white part only, cut
into thin strips
3 inch (7.5cm) piece of fresh
green ginger, peeled and finely chopped
2 tbsp soy sauce
1 tsp sugar
1/4 tsp salt
1 1/2lb (700g) frozen peeled
shrimp, thawed and drained
1 cup (225g) bean sprouts
1/2 cup (125g) petits pois
Method:
Heat the oil in a frying-pan. When it is hot, add
the garlic, spring onions, leek and ginger and
stir-fry for 3 minutes. Add the soy sauce, sugar and
salt and stir-fry for 1 minute.
Stir
in the shrimps, bean sprouts and petits pois and
stir-fry for 5 minutes. Transfer to a warmed serving
dish and serve.
