Vegetables Recipes - Cabbage In Cream Sauce

Ingredients

  • 1 tbsp butter

  • 1 tbsp sesame oil

  • 3 spring onions, sliced

  • 2 small Chinese cabbages, shredded

  • salt and pepper

  • 1 tbsp white wine vinegar

  • 1/2 cup (125ml) light (single) cream

  • 2 tsp soy sauce


Method:

  1. Melt the butter with the oil in a large frying-pan. When it is hot, add the spring onions and cabbage and stir-fry for 3 minutes. Sprinkle over the salt, pepper and vinegar and stir-fry for a further 3 minutes, or until the cabbage is cooked but still crisp.

  2. Stir in the remaining ingredients and cook, stirring frequently, for 4 minutes, or until the sauce comes to the bowl. Transfer the mixture to a warmed serving dish and serve at once.
