Vegetables Recipes - Fried Cabbage

Ingredients

  • 2 tbsp vegetable oil

  • 1 garlic clove, crushed

  • 3 1/2 cups (700g) shredded Chinese cabbage

  • 1/2 tsp salt

  • 1/3 cup (75ml) water

  • 2 tsp soy sauce

  • 1 tsp flour

  • 1/2 tsp sugar


Method:

  1. Heat the oil in a large, deep frying-pan. When it is hot, add the garlic and stir-fry for 1 minute. Add the cabbage and salt and cook for 6 minutes, stirring occasionally.

  2. Combine the water, soy sauce and flour together until they form a smooth paste. Stir in the sugar, then pour the mixture into the pan. Stir-fry for 2 minutes.

  3. Remove the pan from the heat and transfer the mixture to a warmed serving bowl. Serve at once.
