Chinese Vegetables Recipes - Bean Sprouts with Spring Onions Recipe

Ingredients

  • 6-7 oz. bean sprouts

  • 2-3 spring onions

  • 1 crushed clove garlic

  • 1 tablespoon peanut oil

  • 4 tablespoons hot chicken stock

  • pinch each salt, sugar and Ve-Tsin (M.S.G.)


Method:

  1. Pick over the bean sprouts, discarding any seeds. Cut the onions into 1  1/2-inch lengths.

  2. Fry the garlic in the hot oil until golden and then discard it.

  3. Add the bean sprouts and cook them for 2 minutes at high heat, stirring all the time.

  4. Add and cook the onions for 1/4 minutes. Add the stock and seasonings and boil together for 1/4 minute. Turn into a heated dish and serve.
