Chinese Vegetables Recipes - Cucumber and Chili Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 whole or 6- to 7-inch piece cucumber

  • 4 tablespoons white malt vinegar

  • 1 tablespoon sugar

  • 1 small chili

  • pinch salt


Method:

  1. Peel the cucumber. Cut it lengthwise into four and remove the seeds. Cut the cucumber diagonally into 1-inch pieces.

  2. Blend together the vinegar and sugar. Add the crushed chili and salt. Leave for a few minutes then pour over the cucumber and serve.

Note: In place of the chili, 3-4 drops of Tabasco can be used.
