Chinese Sauces Recipes - Brown Sauce Recipe

Ingredients

  • 15 ml/1 tbsp groundnut (peanut) oil

  • 1 spring onion (scallion), minced

  • 10 ml/2 tsp brown sugar

  • 15 ml/1 tbsp soy sauce

  • 30 ml/2 tbsp water


Method:

  1. Heat the oil and stir-fry the spring onion until lightly browned.

  2. Add the sugar, soy sauce and water and stir-fry for a few seconds until heated through. Sprinkle over fried eggs to serve.
