Chinese Recipes - Five-Spice Marinade Recipe
Ingredients
2 cloves garlic, crushed
60 ml/4 tbsp soy sauce
30 ml/2 tbsp groundnut (peanut) oil
5 ml/1 tsp five-spice powder
5 ml/1 tsp salt
5 ml/1 tsp sugar
freshly ground pepper
Method:
Mix together the ingredients rub the mixture over chicken, inside and out.
Leave to stand for 1 hour, basting occasionally, then drain and cook. Baste with the marinade while cooking.
