Chinese Marinades and Condiments Recipes - Five-Spice Mix Recipe

Ingredients

  • 60 ml/4 tbsp salt

  • 5 ml/1 tsp sugar

  • 5 ml/1 tsp five-spice powder

  • 5 ml/1 tsp cinnamon


Method:

  1. Heat the salt in a dry pan over a low heat, shaking continuously, for about 5 minutes until lightly browned.

  2. Add the remaining ingredients then store the mixture in a screw-top jar. Serve with chicken dishes.
