Chinese Sauces Recipes - Ham Sauce Recipe
Ingredients

30 ml/2 tbsp
groundnut (peanut) oil

2 stalks celery,
chopped
-
1 onion, chopped
-
100 g/4 oz ham,
chopped
-
250 ml/8 fl oz/1
cup chicken stock
-
5 ml/1 tsp
corn flour (cornstarch)
-
60 ml/4 tbsp water
-
1 egg beaten
Method:
-
Heat the oil and fry the celery, onion and ham and
stir-fry for 2 minutes.

Add the stock, bring to the
boil, cover and simmer for 3 minutes.

Mix the corn flour and water to a paste then blend in the
egg.
-
Pour into the pan and simmer, stirring, until
the sauce thickens. Pour over the noodles to serve.
