Chinese Sauces Recipes - Peanut Sauce Recipe

Ingredients

  • 100 g/4 oz peanut butter

  • 120 ml/4 fl oz/1/2 cup chicken stock

  • 120 ml/4 fl oz/1/2 cup peanut oil

  • 15 ml/1 tbsp lemon juice

  • 15 ml/1 tbsp soy sauce

  • 2.5 ml/1/2 tsp salt

  • 2.5 ml/1/2 tsp chili powder

  • 2.5 ml/1/2 tsp sugar


Method:

  1. Mix all the ingredients together thoroughly in a small saucepan over a low heat, stirring continuously.

  2. When the ingredients have all mixed together, remove from the heat and leave to cool.

  3. Store in the refrigerator in an air-tight jar and stir well before using.
