Chinese Marinades and Condiments Recipes - Pineapple Marinade Recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 clove garlic, crushed

  • 250ml/1 cup soy sauce

  • 120ml/1/2 cup pineapple juice

  • 60ml/4 tbsp rice wine or dry sherry

  • 30ml/2 tbsp brown sugar


Method:

  1. Mix together all the ingredients and pour over spare ribs.

  2. Leave to stand for 1 hour, basting occasionally, then drain and cook.

  3. Baste with the marinade while cooking, or use as the base for a sauce.
