Chinese Sauces Recipes - Sweet and Spicy Sauce Recipe

Ingredients

  • 5 ml/1 tbsp corn flour (cornstarch)

  • 45 ml/3 tbsp sugar

  • 45 ml/3 tbsp wine vinegar

  • 120 ml/4 fl oz/1/2 cup water

  • pinch of salt


Method:

  1. Mix together all the ingredients in a pan and simmer, stirring, until the sauce thickens.

  2. Pour over cooked carrots or cabbage to serve.
