Sauces And Dips Recipes - Sweet And Sour Fruity Sauce

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup (125ml) sugar

  • 1/2 cup  (125ml) vinegar

  • 3 tbsp (45ml) soy sauce

  • 3 tbsp (45ml) sherry

  • 1/4 cup (60ml) tomato catsup

  • 3 tbsp (45ml) cornstarch blended with 1/2 cup (125ml) pineapple juice

Method:

  1. In a saucepan, combine sugar, vinegar, soy sauce, sherry and catsup. Bring to a boil and add cornstarch and pineapple juice mixture, stirring constantly until the sauce is thickened.
