Sauces and Dips Recipes - Sweet and Sour Sauce
Ingredients
1/2 cup (125ml) sugar
1/2 cup (125ml) vinegar
5-6 tbsp (75-90ml) light soy sauce
1 tbsp (15ml) dark soy sauce (optional)
3 tbsp (45ml) sherry
2 tbsp (30ml) cornstarch blended with 1/2 cup (125ml) water
Method:
In a saucepan, combine sugar, vinegar, light soy sauce, dark soy sauce and sherry. Bring to a boil and stir in the blended cornstarch and water to thicken.
