Sauces And Dips Recipes - Sweet and Sour Sauce

Ingredients

• 1/2 cup (125ml) sugar

• 1/2 cup (125ml) vinegar

• 5-6 tbsp (75-90ml) light soy sauce

• 1 tbsp (15ml) dark soy sauce (optional)

• 3 tbsp (45ml) sherry

• 2 tbsp (30ml) cornstarch blended with 1/2 cup (125ml) water

Method:

1. In a saucepan, combine sugar, vinegar, light soy sauce, dark soy sauce and sherry. Bring to a boil and stir  in the blended cornstarch and water to thicken.
